No Sugar

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 9, 2026. Last updated: June 11, 2026.

Short version: No Sugar is local-first. Your habit data starts on your device. If you choose account, sync, Pro purchase, analytics, or AI coaching features, the minimum data needed for those features is processed by the services described below. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use ad tracking identifiers.

1. Who we are

No Sugar is an independent mobile app operated by Praveen Kumar S. Contact: c2praveen30jun@gmail.com.

2. Data you provide or create

3. Data we do not collect

4. Local storage and cloud sync

By default, No Sugar stores your habit data on your device. If you create an account or enable cloud backup/sync, your app data is synced to Supabase so you can restore it or use it across your own devices. Supabase data is protected with row-level security and encrypted in transit.

5. No Sugar Pro purchases

No Sugar Pro purchases and restore status are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play billing and RevenueCat. We receive purchase entitlement information such as whether Pro is active, the product purchased, renewal status, and store transaction metadata needed to unlock paid digital features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

6. AI coaching features

No Sugar Pro may include controlled AI-generated coaching features, such as a tomorrow prevention plan, weekly coaching nudge, post-slip reflection, or monthly pattern summary. To generate these, the app sends a limited structured habit-pattern payload to our Supabase Edge Function. This may include items such as clean percentage, recent slip category, top trigger, risky time window, trend, streak context, and saved or worked alternative counts. The function calls OpenAI to produce a short habit-support response.

The AI coach does not need your full journal text for these coaching nudges. AI output may be imperfect and is for general wellness support only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

7. Crash reporting and analytics

Sentry may be used for crash reporting when configured in production builds. We configure it to avoid unnecessary personal identifiers where possible.

PostHog product analytics is optional and off by default. It is only initialized if you enable "Share anonymous analytics" in Settings. Journal text is not sent as product analytics.

8. Third-party services

9. How we use data

10. Your choices and rights

11. Data retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Synced cloud data remains while your account is active unless you delete it. Crash, analytics, and purchase records are retained according to the policies of the providers listed above and our operational needs.

12. Children's privacy

No Sugar is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The last updated date above reflects the current version.
